Finding Your Voice in the Boardroom

Updated: Aug 3

It can be challenging to find your voice when you are in a room full of men in majority. In such cases it might be difficult to share your views, or your concerns; so highly recommend you sticking to your purpose on why you are there and why your passion brought you to this board.

When you bring true passion to the board you are serving, it elevates your voice—and you reflect your own purpose and your true self. You should remember that you are on the board because of your expertise, your skills, your strategic vision, and your leadership. If something doesn’t feel right after various discussions, recommend you stand behind your instincts.

Your power is how you affect meaningful change at the board level. You can reflect that by your courage to showcase your expertise, listening to others impactfully and learning from each other and your support for next generation women leaders to step up.
